For my unique object I went through a few ideas before I found the strongest one. I wanted to incorporate the bar code from infinite print on my unique object and the idea of price. My first idea was to create a set of stickers that were bar codes. The stickers could be used to place on items you felt were important to you. I realized this idea might have not been the most unique so I decided it might be interesting to put the bar codes on things that are very expensive (possibly cars, expensive purse, house, etc.). From that idea I came to the idea of putting the bar codes on things that are priceless. This makes the whole idea more interesting and goes well with the sarcasm of my infinite print. I decided to put the bar codes on old black and white photos of moments in time which were priceless. Family dinner, family outing, family holiday, etc.

Infinite Print

For my infinite print I wanted to do something relevant to the time right now. I decided since our economy is in such a bad state right now it would be interesting to create an infinite object that could be useful to everyone and anyone. I thought a lot about it and thought about how stores are having a lot of promotions and sales. So my final infinite print is a print of a coupon. An infinite coupon that can be printed an infinite amount of times and can be used for anything, anywhere and at anytime. Here is my final pdf.

I change a few of the logos. I decided it would be the most interesting to go very masculine logos you would not expect to find. Home Depot (fashion models most likely do not do manual labor), Exxon (they probably do not pump their own gas either) and also Mattel (they do not play with toys).

So I kind of changed my idea since last time. I am still going to screen print something onto a magazine ad but I thought it would be interesting to use high fashion magazine pages and juxtapose them with a logo for a company you wouldn't expect. The 3 company's I am going to do are KMart, Mattel and Wendy's.

My idea for my project on manipulation is to manipulate something that already exists. I had an idea to take fashion magazine advertisements and screen print directly on top of them. I thought this would be interesting because I have done screen printing before but I always printed on plain white paper and this is an interesting twist. Here I have scanned in some of the magazine pages I would like to use.

Here are some of the ideas I have for screen printing on the magazine advertisements. These would run along the bottoms of the images, possibly screen printed in white. Or maybe each idea (people, or city) would be printed in a different color.
